Web application development is evolving rapidly. Much innovation is centered around Node.js, where Kopland has strong expertise.

Both kopland.no and kart.kopland.no are built with React (Meta) and Next.js (Vercel). The advantage of these frameworks is that components can run either in the browser or on the Node.js backend, all within the same project. This removes the need for separate frontend and backend projects (commonly done in Java or .NET).

For styling, Kopland uses Tailwind, which enables inline styling directly in React code. Dedicated CSS files are not required.

If prototypes are to be hosted, they can be deployed on Vercel in the USA, with your domain pointed there.
